FPRA iMage Awards FAQ’s

Q: What are the Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA) Local iMage Awards?

A: The iMage Awards Competition is conducted annually by the Southwest Florida Chapter of FPRA to recognize outstanding public relations programs in Southwest Florida and to encourage and promote the development of public relations professionalism in our state. Simply put, the iMage Awards are the yardstick for measuring your work against industry peers.

Q: What is the difference between the Local iMage Awards and Golden IMage Awards?

A: FPRA has two levels of award competitions. Local iMage Awards competitions are conducted on the chapter level. Generally, entries come from within the host chapter or its local community, but the competitions are not restricted to those entries. The Golden iMage Award Competition is statewide. Awards are presented at the Golden iMage Ceremony at the Annual State Conference. Entries are accepted from members throughout the state and beyond, and from non-members.

Q: Why should I enter the competition?

A: The effort and labor of entering the competition is nothing compared to the satisfaction and pride of winning an award. Receiving an iMage Award for your annual report, grand opening ceremony, PSA, or web site is something that will be attributed to you for years to come. In addition to being a means for public recognition, iMage Awards promotes professionalism in our industry.
