Join us on Tuesday, March 3rd for our monthly luncheon meeting. This meeting will be held at Six Bends Harley-Davidson. The address is  9501 Thunder Road, Fort Myers, FL 33913

Internships are not only an excellent path for students to obtain workplace skills, they are a preferred strategy for employers to identify high performers for future employment. Notwithstanding the benefits of internships, there are misunderstandings about the proper role of interns in an organization and the legalities of bringing them on. The March 3 program – “Student Internships: the Good, the Bad, and the Reality” – will overcome the myths and pave the way for successful intern experiences. The program is a panel discussion featuring Pam Nulman, APR, CPRC, who teaches PR at FGCU. Also on the panel are Christina Harris Schwinn, Labor Attorney, Pavese Law Firm,; Ellen Shiffer, FGCU communication/public relations major (senior), currently in an internship with Miromar Development.
