Golden Image Awards

The Image Awards program has long provided a platform to recognize outstanding public relations tools and programs.  The Golden Image Awards celebrate the best in PR innovation, planning, implementation, and results. Winners are recognized at the glamorous Golden Image Gala, where they take the stage to accept their awards among peers and industry leaders.

FPRA’s Special Annual Awards

In addition to the Golden Image Awards, FPRA recognizes individuals and teams making a lasting impact:

  • Pinnacle Awards – Honoring outstanding strategic work in public relations, including Communicator of the Year, Agency of the Year, Corporate Team of the Year, Nonprofit Team of the Year, and Government Team of the Year.
  • Member of the Year Award – Recognizing an FPRA member for outstanding leadership, enthusiasm, and dedication to the Association.
  • Doris Fleischman Award – Presented to a selfless, dedicated volunteer who consistently contributes to the profession.
  • John W. Dillin Award – FPRA’s highest honor, celebrating a lifetime of service and commitment to the Association.

Southwest Florida Chapter Awards

Each year, the FPRA Southwest Florida Chapter recognizes outstanding members who contribute to the profession and our chapter’s success. These awards include:

  • PR Professional of the Year – Honoring an exceptional leader in the field.
  • Rising Star – Recognizing an up-and-coming PR professional making an impact.
  • Chapter Member of the Year – Celebrating a dedicated member who goes above and beyond.
  • Unsung Hero – Acknowledging behind-the-scenes contributions that make a difference.

Additionally, the following special awards are presented when a deserving individual is identified:

  • Lifetime Achievement Award – Celebrating a career of significant contributions to the PR profession.
  • Pam Nulman Soaring Eagle PR Award – Recognizing exceptional leadership and mentorship.
  • Friends of Janet Philanthropic Award – Honoring a member who exemplifies philanthropic excellence in public relations.

The Teri Hansen insPiRe Scholarship 

In honor of Teri Hansen, APR, a founding member of the Southwest Florida Chapter of FPRA, whose dedication, vision, and passion have shaped our chapter’s success over the past 40 years, the Southwest Florida Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association establishes The Teri Hansen “inSPiRe Scholarship.”

This scholarship celebrates Teri’s enduring legacy of professional excellence and her unwavering commitment to inspiring others. By supporting chapter members in their pursuit of growth through the PR & Communications Summit or Leadership FPRA, this award reflects Teri’s belief in the power of education, leadership, and service.

With gratitude and admiration, we honor Teri Hansen, APR, for inspiring generations of PR professionals and granting them the ability to follow in her remarkable footsteps.
