Join FPRA for an evening of holiday cheer, meaningful giving, and professional connection at our annual Merry Mixer. Bring joy to children in our community by donating to the Children’s Advocacy Center of Southwest Florida (CAC) while networking with FPRA members, students, and local communications professionals.

This year’s Merry Mixer includes a special opportunity to support the Friends of Janet Merry Givemas Toy Drive, created in memory of longtime FPRA member Janet Wilson. Since 2019, the initiative has carried forward Janet’s spirit of generosity by collecting holiday gifts for families served by the Children’s Advocacy Center of Southwest Florida.

Merry Givemas Beneficiary

Founded in 1981, the Children’s Advocacy Center of Southwest Florida (CAC) provides a coordinated response to child abuse and neglect while offering prevention services and family support. As one of Florida’s largest advocacy centers — and the only one serving the four-county region — CAC is accredited by the National Children’s Alliance and remains a vital lifeline for at-risk children.

Your toy donations directly support the CAC Toy Shop, where families can select gifts for their children from December 1–19.

Merry Mixer Event Details

Bring a new, unwrapped toy to Merry Mixer on December 10 at the Canary Club and enjoy an evening of:

• Networking and peer connection

• Light appetizers and pizza

• Holiday celebrations and community impact

• Insights from the Canary Club team on their Middle Eastern–influenced culinary concept

The first 8 attendees to arrive with a donation will receive a commemorative SWFL 40th Anniversary Champagne Glass!
