The Southwest Florida Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA) will welcome Sharon Harrington, Lee County Supervisor of Elections and Jennifer Edwards, Collier County Supervisor of Elections, at a lunch meeting on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Crowne Plaza Hotel at Bell Tower Shops in Fort Myers. The supervisors will be joined by their public relations staff to share insight on the challenges of communications and public relations as it relates to government elections. The panel will discuss their experience planning a special congressional election, managing media messages and lessons learned.

Panelists include Lee County Supervisor of Elections Sharon Harrington and Vicki Collins, community relations director and public information officer; and Collier County Supervisor of Elections Jennifer Edwards and Trish Robertson, elections communications coordinator.

The cost to attend the luncheon meeting is $20 for members, $25 for non-members and $10 for students with advance reservations. Reservations can be made by visiting https://www.fpraswfl.org. Walk-ins are welcome for an additional $5. The advance reservations deadline is Thursday, July 3, 2014.
