The Southwest Florida Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA) and Public Relations Society of America Gulf Coast Chapter (PRSA) have teamed up to present “Be Good at Doing Good: Marketing Your Mission” on Friday, April 18, 2014 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Edison State College, 8099 College Parkway, Fort Myers, FL 33919, Nursing Building, AA-177. The event will offer successful tools of public relations and marketing for nonprofits, small businesses and civic and community organizations.

Six local public relations and media professionals from Fort Myers and Naples will provide information and tips on the following topics: branding, content marketing, fundraising and special events, donors and volunteers, news releases and public speaking. The list of guest speakers include; Brandi Broxson, editor of Naples Daily News; Gail Dolan, MBA, president of Dolan Marketing Services Inc; David Essel, certified motivational speaker; Kate Gooderham, APR, CPRC, president of Gooderham and Associates; Lynn Schneider, APR, CPRC, vice president of marketing and communications, Shell Point; and Heidi Taulman, APR, executive director of Lee BIA Builders Care.
