Dear FPRA Family,
At the start of this chapter year, we set out to honor 40 years of chapter impact while building a foundation for future growth. We knew this year would be special – and thanks to your engagement and support, it truly was.
Guided by our 2024-25 Strategic Plan and our four core values – servant leadership, learning, community, and integrity – we created a roadmap that was both aspirational and actionable. We tracked our progress monthly, adjusted as needed, and celebrated milestones as we went.
And the results speak for themselves.
We exceeded our membership renewal goal and welcomed 15 new members – 188% of our target. We supported 12 APR candidates, double our goal, and offered guidance to two CPRC candidates. We launched Soaring Connections and Comms for a Cause, doubling our goal of 40 hours of pro bono service to the community.
We also celebrated our chapter’s 40th anniversary in style both with a party and a resolution from the Lee County Board of Commissioners recognizing January 16 as PR & Communications Professionals Day in Southwest Florida.
Ultimately, our biggest success isn’t measured in percentages or events, it’s in the culture we’ve created: one where people feel connected and empowered to grow.
We’re not done yet, and I still have one final message with you in August. But for now, I hope you’ll take a moment to reflect on all we’ve accomplished together – as a board, as members, and as a chapter committed to excellence.
Warmly,
Lauren Bernaldo, APR, CPRC
