Greetings!
My name is Shannon Williamson, APR, and it’s an honor to serve as your 2025–2026 SWFL Chapter President. I am so excited to lead our chapter into a year filled with engagement, connection, and spirit!
It’s a privilege to serve alongside our incoming Board and Leadership Team, whose wisdom, dedication, and ambition make them exceptional leaders.
Professionally, I serve as the Supervisor of Public Relations at LCEC, a not-for-profit electric cooperative that has proudly served Southwest Florida for 85 years. LCEC has been a strong supporter of FPRA for many decades, and I’m proud to be the seventh LCEC team member to serve as President of our chapter!
Since joining FPRA, I’ve had the privilege of serving on the board in several roles, each one helping me grow both personally and professionally. Through this organization, I’ve gained not only valuable knowledge and experience, but also lifelong friends and mentors.
A Cape Coral native, I’ve always been deeply connected to the local community and its businesses. I graduated magna cum laude from Florida Gulf Coast University with a degree in Communications and a concentration in Public Relations. In 2023, I earned my Accreditation in Public Relations (APR), a milestone that further deepened my commitment to this field and FPRA.
I have wanted to become president of this chapter because I am so passionate about this profession and about what FPRA brings to each of us. I know I wouldn’t be the professional I am today without the support and opportunities provided by this chapter.
I invite you to attend our upcoming Chapter Awards, where I’ll share more about my vision for the future of our chapter.
I look forward to serving you and making this year one of our best yet!
Warm regards,
Shannon Williamson, APR
